    3. Mary? I had 2 other uncles, but I haven't been able to find them in the WWI index either. Was wondering if you could help. Joseph Dvorak was already married at the time of the war, (married in 1913) so may be he was not required to register, also, Vandy, I'm not sure of his proper name except for Vaclav, he was in a reformatory at age 19 and seems to have never gotten out of trouble after this time, so i am not at all sure if he was required to register either since he had all these troubles........can you help find them? Joseph was born 1888, and Vandy was born 1881. Also, Vandy was born across the sea in Bohemia/Austria. 3. Hi, John. It's nice to hear from you. I remember looking for the other uncles shortly after we found Frank Joe DVORAK in the draft cards. I'm willing to give it another shot. The draft included married men, so Joseph really should be in there. Do you have an exact birth date for Joseph? At least a month (maybe from the 1900 census)? john <[email protected]> wrote: Mary? 1. Frank Joe DVORAK & WI State Reformatory
    2. Mary Thiele Fobian
    3. John-- >Mary? Is there a way I can retrive inmate records from Vandy DVORAK >at the Wisconsin State Reformatory? I don't know anything about reformatory records. It might be helpful to post a query on the Brown county message board *AND* on the WI (unknown counties) board: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.brown http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.unknown For your subject line, don't use Vandy's name; instead, use wording like "Seek Wisconsin Reformatory records" and add the approximate time frame. You might also call the Brown county courthouse to see where old reformatory documents are stored and how you might arrange for someone to find Vandy's records. Also look online for a Brown county genealogical society; someone there might have great information. Good luck! ========================== Mary Thiele Fobian Genealogical & Historical Research Pacific Grove, California
