Surnames: Farrand Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lEC.2ACE/427.3 Message Board Post: Karen, I finally located Quincy in 1900 Grant Co., WI. 1900 Census, Bloomington, Grant, WI, Page 25, 12 Jun 1900, Household 239: Quincy Farrand, Jul 1869, WI, VT, MI, Farmer, Married 9 years Eva, Oct 1873, WI, IL, WI, 3 children, 3 living Elva, Jun 1892, IA, WI, WI Sylva, Aug 1894, IL, WI, WI Earl, May 1897, IL, WI, WI Emerson Chapman, Jun 1876, WI, ENG, OH, Boarder, Laborer Well, from the 1900 census it would appear that Quincy and Evaline/Eva moved around a bit for a few years. This shows Elva born in Iowa and Sylva and Earl in Illinois. Hmm! I would assume that the places of birth were probably correct since the census was taken in 1900. The information could have been provided by anyone in the family. Provided the birth month and year are correct, I would suppose the places are correct as well.
