E. Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. H. A. Allison. Burial was in Blake's Prairie Cemetery with the pallbearers being Daniel Oaklief, A. J. Hamer, W. G. Hickok, Lewis Wetmore, Thos. Millin, and Eugene Sawyer. Mr. Robertson, lifelong resident of Patch Grove and Bloomington, died while walking on the street of Portland, Ore., May 10, where he had been passing the Winter with his brothers, George and Edwin, and sister Elizabeth at Maplewood, Ore. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robertson and was born at Patch Grove on July 19, 1865. He attended the public schools and helped his father in the blacksmith shop. He married Miss Lettie Orr on May 24, 1888. He conducted a hardware business at Glen Haven for a short time and a farm near Bagley, returning to Patch Grove in 1891 to conduct the blacksmith business which had been run by his father. He moved to Bloomington in 1920. His wife died in 1933. He leaves his son Richard, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., six brothers, Robert of Mt. Ida, George and Edwin, both of Portland; Frank of Dover, Fla., William of Plymouth, and Arthur of Janesville; and one sister, Elizabeth of Maplewood, Ore. Mr. Robertson was a member of the Bloomington lodge AF and AM and the Order of the Easten Star and of the ME Church of Bloomington.
