C. A. BASFORD, president of the Peoples State Bank here, closed because of alleged misuse of funds, was lodged in the county jail when his bondsmen [sic], Adolph VESPERMAN, withdrew bond for $10,000 bail. J. Harold PUGH pleaded guilty to charges of misuse of funds on Friday and was sentenced to 17 years at Waupun penitentiary. BASFORD and L. A.
