McDowell is my great grandfather, he married Harriet (Hattie) Davis, he was born 7-1-1859 in Ohio and Died 3-10-1937 in Frankfort, SD. His father was Daniel McDowell and his mother was Barbara Rice. I have heard that Daniel had a second marrige to Mary J Whipal, in Crawford WI. but his name is misspelled as D. C. Mcdouel,not sure about that. My Grandfather David was married to Hattie Davis in Grant Co. WI. They had 4 daughters,all born in Strawberry Point IA. Marie (my grandmother) was married to George Sheldon, Elsie was married to Guy Williams, Blanche was married to Henry Schone, and Nell who I dont really know alot about.
