Some time ago, I was sent an 1868 plat map of part of Grant County. At the time, I forgot to ask the source of the map and cannot reach the sender now. The map has hand written in script "Grant County Plat Map 1868" on the top Margin. It includes mostly only Paris Twp. (T2, R2) with a little of what lies just west of it, toward the Mississippi River (R3.) I have some of questions. Does anyone know of the source, and are more of these available? Other townships, years. How-to, price. Would this be under a current copyright? If it is not under copyright, would Robin like to post it on the Grant County Website to share with other interested parties? I'd be glad to send it wherever needed. I just have to say, it was sent to me in a low resolution (I guess for quicker e-transfer), but I did manage to print out a couple of copies that suit my purposes. I'm not sure if that will effect the quality of image on a web page, but it sure seems worth a try. I can post it to my ftp temporarily to see how it looks, if anyone is interested. Smile Di
