Beverly, Sorry for the delay, but I've been out of town. Here are a few items that might help: >From "Memorable Happenings in the Grant Co. Herald [newspaper], 1870-1879," compiled by Cheryl D. Lemanski: Julius, Henry, married Anna Hollenberger, 14 Dec 1870, Liberty Twp., recorded in the 20 Dec 1870 issue of the Herald. >From "Memorable Happenings in the Grant Co. Herald [newspaper], 1843-1869," compiled by Cheryl D. Lemanski: Julius, Charles (of Lancaster), died 1 Jul 1863, Snyder's Bluff, MS, recorded in the 6 Oct 1863 issue of the Herald. >From "Highlights of the Fennimore Times, 1889-1899," compiled by Cheryl D. Lemanski: Ottemeyer, Sophia Julius, married to Henry, died 26 Oct 1897, Stitzer, recorded in the 10 Jan 1906 issue of the Times. Also included in this item is that Henry E. Ottemier (another spelling) was in Co. C, 43rd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, he died in 1905/6 in Stitzer. Henry married (2) Sophia J. (Hass/Hatz) Schupener on 13 May 1998. These papers are on microfilm at the Wisconsin Historical Society. They do charge about $15 per roll via interlibrary loan. They will look-up a request for a fee. Information is available at: http://www.shsw.wisc.edu/genealogy/newspapers/access.html I think they were doing one look-up/copy for free, but they must have been overwhelmed with requests. Dave Taft
