LANCASTER GEORGE B. HYDE, proprietor of the machine-shop; commenced business in August, 1875; he learned his trade in Indianapolis; he not only served an apprenticeship, but has a natural taste for mechanics; was born in Pottsdam, N. Y., Sept. 19, 1851, a son of H. H. and Martha P. (Elderkin) Hyde; he came West with his parents in 1855. Feb. 24, 1874, he was married to Miss Alice L. Green.
