LANCASTER GEORGE MUESSE, contractor and builder, dealer in lumber, Lancaster. Is a native of Germany; emigrated to America in 1848, with his brother, and learned the trade of carpenter and joiner in Philadelphia. He came to Grant Co. in 1859, and remained one year, then returned to Pennsylvania. In 1870, he came to Lancaster, and since then has been engaged in building. In 1879, he also engaged in the lumber business, and is building up a good trade. He holds the office of City Weighmaster. In July, 1863, Mr. Muesse married Mrs. Elizabeth Humrichhouse, a native of Germany. They have seven children - Annie E., George H., Lizzie, Carrie M., Fred W., Edward C., Charlie L.
