Another opinion: I understand the slight inconvenience of receiving these bios in a short period of time, but in my opinion it is outweighed by having the bios available as data when using the search function of the mailing list archives. I search counties a lot and am thrilled when I find other mailing lists where people have thoughtfully posted lots of hard to find material. Then I just copy the material without bothering people. This data will now likely be available as long as the mailing lists are up, even if the county pages go down. Multiple sources has certainly benefited my research. Daniel, Thank you for your kind words! This was exactly the reason I posted them to the Rootsweb message boards (and then they go to the mailing list). Rootsweb and USGenWeb are not related to each other, so having multiple "repositories" was my initial idea - this is a great resource, and I want it to be available for many years to come!
