There are absolutely no responses to the surname at ancestry.com, familysearch.com, genealogy.com, or even using search engines such as Google and Hotbot. This is **very** unusual. Is there some other possible spelling? I wonder whether Sally/Polly Hamilton is Emeline's mother? Perhaps you can get at a "better" spelling of Robert's last name by looking for a marriage record for Emeline Hamilton.
