Thank you Di for sharing this tidbit about a J. Stevens in Potosi. Its entirely possible this is my James Stevens/Stephens. Could SKS please check the 1860 census for a Stevens/Stephens family in Potosi Township? Hopefully my g-grandmother Elizabeth Stephens, b. 1851, will be among the family members!
