Roxanne, I'm not related and have no other details on this death, but can provide the following: From, "Highlights of The Fennimore Times, alias Times Review, 1889-1899," compiled by Cheryl D. Lemanski: Townsend, Mr., kills wife Sept, 1885. Also, Olive Watson Townsend died Sep 1885. Both recorded in the 19 Mar 1897 issue of the Fennimore Times. Hard to say what else this issue might contain, but it might be worth requesting. To get a copy of the article, you should write to the Dwight T. Parker Library in Fennimore, WI. I would send them a self addressed stamped envelope and a couple dollars with your request and they will probably copy it for you. The address is: Dwight T. Parker Public Library 955 Lincoln Ave. Fennimore, WI 53809 608-822-6294 As for the court records, I've never requested anything like that before. They may be available, but might cost a few bucks to get copies. They should be in the Courthouse in Lancaster. For that I would recommend hiring a local research like LaVon Hall. I don't know her current rates, but years ago it was $5/hr plus copies. Copies might be the expensive part. You can write to her at: LaVon Hall 449 S. Harrison St. Lancaster, WI 53813 Hope this helps out. Dave Taft Arlington, TX
