Can anyone provide the township numbers with the township names for Grant County? I have several ancestors who at one time owned land and would like to match up the land records. Thanks Catherine Leinbach Winston-Salem NC

Catherine, Here is a link to the WI Department of Transportation. They have modern WI county maps in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. The downloads are quite large, but the maps very detailed. http://www.dot.state.wi.us/dtid/bhd/county_maps.html The maps show township names as well as Township and Range numbers. On the map, markings such as T-3-N, and R-2-W, would be Township 3 North, Range 2 West, or Harrison Township. You can also purchase larges county maps and detailed township maps from this site for very reasonable prices.
