Catherine, Yes, these all appear to be in Patch Grove township. They do appear to be in the very south part of the township bordering on Bloomington Twp. SESW 11/ 6-N 5-W W1/2 14/ 6-N 5-W NENW 14/ 6-N 5-W SENE 15/ 5-N 5-W 200 ACRES "SESW 11" would mean the Southeastern, Southwestern 1/4 (I think) of Section 11. Patch Grove is kind of an odd shape. Most townships are basically square and contain whole sections. Patch Grove shares 1/2 of sections 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 (numbered West to East) with Bloomington. Section 11 is all in Patch Grove. For those unfamiliar with legal descriptions and land records, the following link provides a pretty good explanation: http://www.outfitters.com/genealogy/land/twprangemap.html Unlike the graphical example at this web site, Patch Grove begins with Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 at the northern boarder and half of sections 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 to the south.
