I've been using Heritage Quest for years and up till recently access was simple. On it seems I have to enter my user name and password every frame change. Also the images of the original forms are out of focus or just plane bad copies and not printable quality. .
Ron, I'm not sure I understand your comments. I have used HQ for years as well. Originally through my membership with the NY Genealogical and Biographical Society and most recently through the Godfrey Library (Godfrey is ending this service for new members). As I learned though this link, I can now access it free as a TX library card holder. I love it. The images are sharp and can be saved as PDF files. Those print great for the early census records. For the 1900-1930, I do save the images in TIF format and then insert the image into an 11 X 17 Word Document with minimal margins to print. Granted, I have to print any of those at the office since my home printer won't handle that size paper. Who is your HQ service through? HQ doesn't offer subscriptions to individuals, only through institutional members. You may want to try changing providers, but that shouldn't account for problems with image resolution. For me, it's been great and much cheaper than Ancestry for their census package. Granted, I do use Ancestry for their indexes in the years HQ doesn't have indexes available. Dave Taft
