P. 633 - William Ault is listed among the volunteers for the 31st Infantry, Co. C from the Town of Wyalusing. P. 647 - A discussion on the growth of Lancaster. The year 1851: "As soon as the weather would admit, the usual spring emigration to California commenced. T. M. Barber, J. B. Callis, Robert Allenworth and Wells Huston, with a number of others from the surrounding country, started on the six months' trip that was to land them in the region of the glittering phantom."
