>>Fountaine, 1810-1869 Delilah (his wife) 1818-1899>> Earlene, Was it Dodge or Scott Cemetery that Fountaine and Delilah were in? Do you happen to have the address for the two cemeteries? I am also hoping that their daughter, (Sarah) Elizabeth (Taylor) Winney will be found in the same cemetery. She died, probably in childbirth, in Grant County in 1871-73. Thanks for all of your wonderful help. Kathleen

They had a 7 lot plot in Scott Cemetery in Glen Haven, but there is no record of anyone being buried there. Thanks so much. HOpe the above TAYLOR info helps someone. Good HUnting. Kathleen, I'm not sure if this is yours or not, but... >From "Memorable Happenings in the Grant Co., Herald Newspaper 1870-1879," compiled by Cheryl D. Lemanski: Winney, Lillian M., daughter of William, died 12 Mar 1873, Glen Haven Twp., recorded in the 29 Apr 1873 issue of the Herald. Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Winney's death date is most likely found on her tombstone. For Cemetery records, I would recommend requesting them from the Grant Co. Genealogical Society (GCGS). They will send you all cemetery listings for each requested Surname in the County for $3 per surname plus a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE). Info. is available at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wigrant/gcgensoc.htm#search Send a check (Payable to the GCGS) and Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) to Helen Jentz, 955 Williams St., Platteville, WI 53818. Dear Jeffery, I don't know if anyone elses's genealogy papers are as messy as mine (I began 25 years ago, without a computer) and your posting of towns just saved me loads of digging! In my memory, my GGGrandfather Fountain Taylor died in "Bee-something" (couldn't remember the rest!) and then came your most welcome post! It was in fact *Beetown* and your information includes the fact that he died in the county where his daughter and son-in-law had lived. Beetown (Grant's County). Thank you!!! Kathleen

I'm not sure what this pertains to, but my family came from Stitzer, Grant County, Wisconsin. I also don't see Liberty Township or that one might have been renamed. on 9/6/02 11:14 AM, ScismGenie@aol.com at ScismGenie@aol.com wrote: Bagley village ( Grant County ) Beetown town ( Grant County ) Bloomington town ( Grant County ) Bloomington village ( Grant County ) Blue River village ( Grant County ) Boscobel city ( Grant County ) Boscobel town ( Grant County ) Cassville town ( Grant County ) Cassville village ( Grant County ) Castle Rock town ( Grant County ) Clifton town ( Grant County ) Cuba City city ( Grant County ) Dickeyville village ( Grant County ) Ellenboro town ( Grant County ) Fennimore city ( Grant County ) Fennimore town ( Grant County ) Glen Haven town ( Grant County ) Harrison town ( Grant County ) Hazel Green village ( Grant County ) Hickory Grove town ( Grant County ) Jeffery G. I am seeking the cemetery information for my GGGrandmother (Sarah) Elizabeth (Taylor) Winney who was born in 1843-1853; she died in Grant Co. 1872-1873. Her husband was William Henry Winney and her father was Fountain Taylor. It is likely that she died in the year that she gave birth to her second daughter, Cora Winney. Cora's older sister was Anna Elizabeth Winney, b. 1869-1871 in Wisconsin. Thanks for any help. Kathleen

I have just begun tracing my husband's mothers line..as she is in a nursing home..so I wanted to find out as much as I could..and he/ and she are descendants of Joseph Mezera. Do you have any dates..on the Joseph Mezera you are posting about?etc.. My husband's mother is is Gladys Meermans. She is daughter of Anna Mezera and Edward J. Hrdlicka. They lived in Ohio She states that Anna's father was Joseph Mezera and she thinks his wife was maria/marie mezera. Joseph apparently died young at age 42 per her. Is this the line you are referring to as far as you can tell? Sorry I do not have dates..Gladys is now 86, and was born in l916..so her mother Anna Mezera must have been born approx l895 plus or minus...Anna and her husband Edward J. Hrdlicka ran a store and bowling alley and saloon in Clevland. Anna must have had three brothers..named Otto, Jerry and a daughter Clara. Their (Anna and Edward J.) children were Gladys Hrdlicka, Edward Hrdlicka. If this is a match..whatever other info you may have would be greatly appreciated..and I will be happy to share as well..I am waiting to receive from family members more specifics...
