It has been brought to my attention: "Some states have TC - Town Coordinators - should we address this in case it comes up in the future." In my experience in the MEGenWeb Project, the rationale for Town Coordinators is that visitors to an XXCounty USGenWeb site often have specific questions about a particular area (town, city, plantation etc). Where is the local library? What are their hours and phone number? Are there any Genealogical or Historical Societies in town? Who do I talk to about the history of a certain local family? Where are the Vital Records? Folks are encouraged if they live or do regular research in one area, they might be able to help visitors by publishing this type of information on a web page for all to use. Do we as a group what to incorporate within the guidelines for this potential growth of the WIGenWeb Project? _____ "Sometimes CC's become sick, ill, or leave town on vacation - etc, should we include something that they need to contact SC and ASC ... - (example -about broken link notifications be fixed in one week)" No, I am sorry, if you are a volunteer for the WIGenWeb Project, you can not under any circumstances become ill or go on vacation ... <VBG>... (Just kidding!, vacations ONLY are allowed). I think this suggestion is very reasonable and will incorporate it. _____ "Logos and links - should be more specific, that they are on the MAIN page - " In what I presented last evening, I didn't provide the particular links to the graphics pages, etc., but I believe we as a group have had this discussion before. I will make more clear, that logos are to be prominently placed on the main page of the site. _____ "What about dual sites??? ..." I recognize that dual sites exist. I think it is wonderful that many of you are involved in providing your skills, talents, and material in many different genealogical venues, I truly do! But, I have to be honest .. We together, are the WIGenWeb Project, part of the USGenWeb Project. I advocate that the WIGenWeb Project pages are indeed WIGenWeb Project pages and identified singularly as such. I'd rather sites didn't look like the telephone pole on the corner covered with all sorts of placards. Tim
