Hi All, I am coming to all of you for some help. I don't know what to do to make this stop, so any advice would be wonderful. As most of you know I have the Calumet County site. It wasn't known to me until it was referenced in a letter tonight, but it seems Oprah Winfrey did a show on tortured children today. Back a couple of years ago Brillion, a small city in Calumet County had a family by the last name of Roger's, this family was sick as they locked their daughter in a dog cage in a cold, dark basement. It was indeed cruel and made me cry, it still makes me cry to think what those children have gone through. Since the show aired, I am up to 120+ letters coming to me or to the query page from some very nasty people. I am being killed here. In it's own I might be able to deal with this if I had nothing else going on. However right now all of my spare time and even time that isn't spare is being placed to help my parents. My mom underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor, is going through chemo and radiation and is currently in the hospital due to blood clots in her legs. The tumor greatly affected her speech area and for some unknown reason I am about the only one who can understand what she is trying to say, so I don't have time to be dealing with these letters. If anyone has a suggestion, other than changing my e-mail address as I have had this address for many, many years and wouldn't know where to begin to make the changes for my own genealogy, I would greatly appreciate it. Please help, I don't want to shut down Calumet county, but I am slowly losing my mind here. Below are some of what I received and I won't add the really graphic sick ones. Please help! I don't do this to my kids, I didn't like them doing this to their kids and I didn't condone them doing this. I don't even know the family. PIGS. This is an automatically-generated notice. Please contact your local officials in regard to the children of Micahael & Angeline Rogers. The horrible abbuse these children suffered is only equaled by the unforgivable sentence from the judge on this case. In the past my family has vacationed in Wisconsin-I have no intentions of ever driving through your state again-I am disgusted that a communitty would not cry out for its children. I truly hope htat the people of Calumet County have treated this couple with scorn and distaste-I understand they are attempting to regain custody-I urge you to investigate this story and plead with your friends and neighbors to come to the rescue of these 4 young children. What kind of people are you? How could you do this to your own children? You should be tortured, you have no right to live after what I saw on Oprah. How dare you even have a website about your county you sick little bitch! I pray to God you suffer and suffer real bad for letting this happen. Why didn't you do something to stop thsi family? I hope your children turn on you someday for what you've done to them!!!!!!!!!
