My county, Clark, is quite small and I enjoy manually handling the email queries. As a result, I read every one. I have had my second query that is not genealogically related and would like to know how others handle these type of queries. In the first non-g query, a man was looking for another man to settle a debt. I just received a second query and it "sounds" like a man searching for a non-related man; I can't tell the motive. Do you post all queries regardless? Do you question the query-writer? Do you toss it? Bob
Robert, I get the same thing once in a while. These I feel are not right for the county board that I oversee. I have a form letter ready to go. It just very nicely explains that the site is dedicated to ancestor research and is not set up to handle his/her request for present day information. Then I offer them the following sites to try. Netscape telephone search: http://form.netscape.com/peoplesearch/phone_srch.html DocuSearch ( which is interesting but a little scary): http://www.docusearch.com/ I wish them luck with their search. Sometimes I even get a "thank you" back! Rita - Oconto Robert Herald wrote: > My county, Clark, is quite small and I enjoy manually handling the email > queries. As a result, I read every one.
