Paula, We have a book on sale at the Polk Co., Wi Museum ($55.00) which is a remake of a 1888 history by W.L. Folsum called "50 years in the Northwest" which is a 3" book listing all of the counties of Northwest Wisconsin and part of Minnesota "i.e." Washington Co., Pine Co. Chisago Co. Etc. Is this the same book? I also have the book from 1909 published by the Stillwater paper by A. B. Easton. called the " History of St. Croix Valley" which is a 2 volume set. Listing not only the founding fathers of the communities but the bios of just regular "folk" , farmers, merchants, and neighbors which gives more of a sense of community and the genealogy of the neighborhood.
