Hi: Just wanted to add my two cents. This is one of the books that Nance Sampson in Burnett County photocopied Pierce County info from for me. It does indeed give lots of bios on early settlers, the nicest thing being, it was written during most of their lifetimes, or at least their childrens, so the info is more the "horses mouth" kind of stuff, rather than something second hand.
