    3. Tina, Couple of thoughts on the "hasn't been updated in a year"... WHY do they think that? I had someone write that about one of the sites, checked it out, and the cc was adding away, they just didn't see it on the MAIN page, didn't try any of the links, so... To avoid this, I have a LAST updated date on each page that is automatic, each time I go into and edit a page... That way, anyone can see how lazy (ha ha ha) I have been... Second, maybe there isn't anything to be added at this time? Some sites are pretty awesome... Third, maybe the CC isn't out there any more (grin)... Did the person try emailing them and asking them what was new on the site and NOT get a response? OK OK, I am on the side of us overworked, underpaided, not appreciated cc's!!! ROFLOL... but I wouldn't sweat the load. The majority of us are here and respond, maybe not as fast as desired by some, but certainly fast enough to earn our paychecks! BTW, I haven't recieved my first check, and it's been four years... R/S MAK __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! 2. Marie Loughlin
    3. Hi CC's I'm Marie Loughlin, up here in Polk Co., northwestern WI. My computer was struck by lightning last year. I'm still trying to put all the pieces back together again. But since that time, I have not be able to upload any more cemetery's or veteran's records, but I have been able to help my queries out by other literature I have been able to find. I work at the Polk Co., WI Museum in Balsam Lake. They have quite an abundance of local history and genealogy. So, just because my dates haven't changed, or my logo's are still the old ones, doesn't mean I haven't been helping. My pages may say they haven't been updated since 1999 or 98, but we have still been busy answering what we can. I would like to share with all of you the thanks I have gotten on our behalf. I know, that this is all we get. Subject: Nels Fremstad Date: Fri, 9 Jun 2000 00:49:35 -0400 From: "Ron and Meg Lambalot" <megron@donet.com> To: <mloughli@centurytel.net> Marie!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! From the bottom of my heart a thousand times Thank You!!! He is a relative. I have always been told that the family name is Framstad, but in the Polk County records I have found Framstad and Framsted used, Framsted is used for Nels' sons death records. I have seen the name Fremstad but not in a way that I could link it to my family. Thank you again. I love GenWeb and the people who thought of it are in my prayers, I wouldn't have gotten half the information I have so quickly or made so many new friends, if it weren't for the GenWeb Project!! Meg Lambalot Subject: Babcock/Kittle Date: Wed, 07 Jun 2000 09:22:35 -0500 From: Talma Klaassen <tbk@wichita.infi.net> To: mloughli@centurytel.net Thank you Marie for the reading of the Hist. St Croix Valley. I believe this is the family I was looking for. Does your Genealogical or Historical society have a web site that would have listing of cemeterys? Much Obliged. Talma We do what we have available at this time. I know that some of the CC's are out of state but the LDS Library still has items for posting or lookups anywhere for the ordering. The libraries are very prevalent, maybe the CC's that are out of state could direct the people toward the data bases that are available for the county or area that they are coordinating for clues. I have found that these people are most appreciative for anything they can get about their family. Just a thought from northwestern Wisconsin, Have a good day everyone, Marie MAK wrote: > Tina, Couple of thoughts on the "hasn't been updated in a year"... > > WHY do they think that?
