    3. One of my volunteers makes web pages for a living. She was the one who found the server of the pay per view site, and here are some suggestions she made. I see a number of problems here. As far as the break out of frames script..... We could put the link to break out of frames on our pages, but it is very likely he has a counter script that allows us NOT to break out of his frames. Without a subscription I am not able to tell if in fact he has this script running. It is entirely possible that our preventative measures may have no affect on his efforts to take our information. As far as disclaimers/words on page..... What Debbie Barrett has on her site, is not quite right. The "work" is copywritten, that is... "how it is presented", but the data itself is not. The way the statement is written, she claims it is all hers, when in fact it is not. What I suggest we do is two fold. 1) add to our disclaimer page the fact that the material presented here is free and offered through the efforts of volunteers. (and put whatever else we want to say about other peoples frame sets.) 2) As we are working on the pages, add the actual url to all of the pages. This is something I had thought of doing, right after we redid the site. The main purpose I originally thought was if someone printed out the page, they knew exactly where it came from if they wanted to go back and check at a later point in time. Now I guess it has a second purpose. We could have our page bottoms look something like this URL was last updated on 08/12/00 All works copyright © 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 Disclaimer | Privacy Statement These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in this format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons without the permission of Shari Milks
