R/S MAK Subject: [GenWisconsin] Noted Archeologist speaking at UW-P Noted Archeologist speaking at UW-P (from Boscobel Dial, Thurs., Nov. 23, 2000; second section, page 8) Noted Wisconsin archaeologist John Broihahn will speak at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in Le Cafe of the Ullsvik Center, located at the corner of Main and Hickory streets. The event, cosponsored by the UWP History Club and Department of Social Sciences, is free and open to the public. Broihahn's talk is entitled "Native American Communities in Wisconsin: An Archaeological View." Broihahn is an assistant archaeologist for the state of Wisconsin and works in the historic preservation division of the State Historical Society in Madison.
