    2. n.e.w.s.
    3. Dear Fellow CCs, I've been communicating this past week with Mike Romaine, who has offered to do lookups in the book "History of Northern Wisconsin" which was published in 1881 (see book details below). He will be able to start these lookups as of 17 November. If anyone is interested in his offer, he would be most happy to hear from you. His email address is mailto:[email protected] . Whether you want to post his lookup offer on your county pages or just have him send the info to you, is completely your decision. He just feels that the WIGenWeb project is a very worthy one and wants to "pay forward" for all the help that he has received from our county websites. The following are the particulars of the book, including the counties that are covered in it: History of Northern Wisconsin: containing an account of its settlement, growth, development, and resources, an extensive sketch of its counties, cities, towns and villages, their improvements, industries, manufactories, biographical sketches, portraits of prominent men and early settlers, views of , seats, etc. Author: unknown, Chicago, 1881 Sections include: Maps General history - Adams, Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Brown, Buffalo, Burnett, Calumet, Chippewa, Clark, Door, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Green Lake, Juneau, Jackson, Kewaunee, Lincoln, Langlade, La Crosse, Manitowoc & Marathon Counties.
