    1. [WIGEN-L] Solution to Receipt of Superfluous Emails
    2. R. Marie Mickalunas
    3. Tina: I can see your point. Having one official list would be a lot of work for you. However, I get well over 100 emails each day, and I don't have time to read emails that are not pertinent to me, and I need a quick way to wade through the emails that are not important to me. For example, the email of Sun, 26 Oct 2003 18:15:19 -0700 and the reply of Sun, 26 Oct 2003 18:28:15 -0700 had nothing to do with being informed of important information as it pertains to WIGenWeb Project and USGenWeb Project business. Therefore, I did not need to receive these emails. Yet they were in my in box ,and I had to take the time to open them and scan them to see if they contained any information I needed to know. Then, finding out they did not contain any pertinent information, I deleted them. This is time I could have better spent on other things. My suggestion to anyone who wants to avoid wasting their time on the "superfluous" posts is to use the filter options provided by most email programs. I would be willing to help anyone using either Eudora or Outlook set up a filter so they don't have to deal with the non-business related emails from the WIGEN-L. If you need help in filtering out the unofficial emails, please send me a private email at: [email protected], and I will walk you thorough the process. From now on, I'm only receiving the official WIGEN-L emails through my email program. Enjoy! R. 3. Marie, I am curious .. What is your definition of official WIGenWeb Project emails, and how can you filter to assure that you receive just those. Tina ----- Original Message ----- From: "R.
