    3. I am not an expert on this, by no means. But I can echo what Josh and Peggy have said here. I am a member of one of the newer gen. societies in Wisconsin. Our society thought it best to become a member of the FGS and have been for the past four years. We have received lots of helpful information in running our society, as well as receiving good, solid genealogical advice. Our membership with the FGS (as well as being a WSGS affiliate) shows to those who need the reassurance that we are a viable/creditable organization, which is of vital importance in our area (Barron Co.) Also, as the FGS Delegate for our society, I receive lots of good information that I can pass on to our members. And the Forum magazine is great! FWIW, I think it is a good thing for the USGenWeb to join the FGS. Nance WI CC x 6 Debie & Joe wrote: > Tina, > > I have heard of FGS before to I admit that I really don't know > anything about it.
