    3. Hi All, I am still sort of wowed by this, but I thought I would share with all of you something that has happen to me. If I wasn't a 100% true believer before, I certainly am now. To give you a bit of history so you understand the story here, I will explain in short what started this. Back early last fall, a gentleman contacted me asking if I would be interested in old photos for the Sheboygan County website. Many, many years ago when the Groh Photo Studio went out of business, this gentleman's father saw fit to save boxes upon boxes of old glass negatives. At some point in time, his father had passed away and he found these boxes in the garage. Of course he saved them and took them back to his house. He wrote and sent a sample of what he was doing with them and even though some were in bad shape, he asked if I was interested in adding something like that to the website. Well, of course, I never turn =anything= away that can be added to the website. So he set about photographing the glass negatives and doing whatever he was doing and sending me files of them. I started to add them to the website, I touched some up with a wonderful program I have because moisture had done damage. Anyway, I haven't had alot of time since November between dealing with the holidays and then hanging, mudding, sanding and painting of drywall, not to mention the constant medical problem that continues to return despite all the doctors and specialists and treatments. Anyway, I truly hadn't added anything to the website since November 17 of last year. Yesterday I was feeling well enough to be up and able to sit at the computer for more than about an hour at a time, for some reason I decided to start adding the photos again. I made contact with Bob and let him know what was happening and that I was going to be working on adding to the website again. Today in my e-mail I found a letter that he included me in to his siblings and other family members who knew the photos were being added. He stated in the e-mail the following: >As a fitting tribute to dad's penchant to keep all things old, Debie >Blindauer has once again begun to load the glass negative images >onto the Sheboygan County Website on the eve of this sad anniversary. I had no idea what he meant and sent a letter apologizing if I had added to his sadness. After hitting the send key, his letter bothered me and I had wondered what correlation my e-mail and adding of the photos had to do with his entire family. Knowing what was truly the saddest day in my life {my mom's passing}, I went to the internet and did a search for his dad's death date. I found it right away. Can you all guess what day Bob's father passed away? Yes, one year ago today, his dad passed away, March 5, 2005. Now, maybe it is a true coincidence. However, with as many other things that I could have and probably should have worked on or did yesterday, to have chose to add the photos instead makes me believe that a greater power had me choose this instead. I just thought I would share this story with you all, I hope no one minds since it really isn't WIGenWeb stuff, know what I mean? Oh, one more thing with these photos, the best part after having the opportunity to add these all, the vast majority are identified with names. Now it truly doesn't get much better than that when hitting a gold mine of stuff. For those interested in seeing the photos that he is sending, here is the url: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sheboygan/25.htm I have a full cd that he sent to add, in addition to the couple hundred he e-mailed. They include everything from landscape to furniture along with the people {of course} and even their pets. andn the end, I will add every last one of them. <g> Thanks for letting me share, Debie Blindauer Calumet & Sheboygan Counties
