    3. Thank you all so much for the wonderful responses to my question. I am overwhelmed by your kindnesses. I was aware of the cutoff date of 1923, but thought perhaps since the Wisconsin Historical Society was still actively publishing their quarterly "Magazine of History", that maybe this article would fall under some "updated" copyright law. From what I've read within the links that have been submitted here, and also checking the US Copyright website, searching through the 'serials' of the WHS, I believe that it is okay to use this article. I just didn't want to do anything wrong. Thanks again for all your help, everyone!
