I was aware of the cutoff date of 1923, but thought perhaps since the Wisconsin Historical Society was still actively publishing their quarterly "Magazine of History", that maybe this article would fall under some "updated" copyright law. From what I've read within the links that have been submitted here, and also checking the US Copyright website, searching through the 'serials' of the WHS, I believe that it is okay to use this article.
