Good morning all! First of all, let me say that I welcome the discussion of the guidelines/bylaws and the logo presence and requiredness (is that a word?... <g>) within the WIGenWeb Project and its pages. Secondly, I really like the "cow butt" graphic .. so.. don't "badger" me about it .. LOL! Seriously, though.. We have a group of very dedicated, hardworking individuals who are doing an awesome job of providing free genealogical information on-line for our visitors. With Marcia's motions (which I will number and title), and Debbie's second, I open the list and the Wednesday evening chat to the discussion of these issues. I realize that with these motions there will be a lot to be discussed and many questions will be raised. It is important for all to work together to address the questions. The motions: WI-00001 - "Amendment of the current guidelines/bylaws: I make a motion that WIGenWeb amends the current guidelines (By-Laws), to require a majority vote for modification, whether it be an addition or deletion." Question to the group.. (I always have questions..) What constitutes majority? (i.e... majority of all CC's and Co-CC's within the WIGenWeb Project, or majority of CC's and Co-CC's voting.) WI-00002 - Designation of Logo for the WIGenWeb Project: "I make a motion that the WIGenWeb project designate a color series of logos or banners to identify the WIGenWeb Project, and such design will be mandatory on the MAIN page of each WI County belonging to WIGenWeb." I know that there are many variations to the theme visible on the project pages. We have many creative people among us! I would like all those interested in submitting logos to forward them to me. I will make them available online for all to view. So everybody.. lets discuss! And yes, discussion can take place with graphic programs open.. <g> Tina
