Hi all, The Page guidelines that are posted on http://www.rootsweb.com/~wigenweb/volunteer.html are a combination of the USGenWeb Project By-laws and the USGenWeb Project Info for Volunteers located at http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/countypage.html and http://www.usgenweb.org/official/bylaws.html respectively. Part of the decision we face is the definition of bylaws vs. guidelines. That is why this discussion was brought to the list, for resolution, guidance, and consensus from the group as a whole. Creativity, autonomy, sense of teamwork is what the bottom line discussion is all about. The motions presented will add further definition and clarity to the guidelines posted and will serve as a tool for all of us to use in the administration of our pages. By bringing these to vote we can put to rest these lingering questions, and provide a mechanism for dealing with future issues should they arise. Discussion of these motions will continue until Monday, March 22, 2000. Voting will begin on Wednesday, March 23, 2000, and continue until Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at 9 PM EST. All CC's and Co-CC's will have one vote each, majority voting will rule, and the volunteers page updated accordingly. Submission of logos for consideration will be accepted until Monday, March 22, 2000, and the URL for the submitted logos will be available on-line prior to the vote commencing. I will announce the method of voting prior to the start. Tina
