    3. Hi - What is the craziest thing about this is when I go to the original message that the person is replying it does show MAK's name as the submitting and then when I click on her name it also shows her email address - so I have no clue how this can be possible?? Here is the addy for one of the messages I am talking about when the person replied to this message of MAKS - it came to me as a reply to my message. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DGC.2ACI/2171.1.1.1 Paula Waupaca County Coordinator WIGenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwaupac/index.htm >From: Debie & Joe <sebring@excel.net> >Reply-To: WIGEN-L@rootsweb.com >To: WIGEN-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: RE: [WIGEN-L] Paula - Message Boards >Date: Fri, 07 Oct 2005 16:03:10 -0500 > >It shouldn't confuse anything by doing that. 3. It shouldn't confuse anything by doing that. Both of my boards are gatewayed to both my mailing lists. Only thing that means is that when someone posts a message to the board, it automatically is sent to the mailing list, like a member is posting. Although I wasn't real sure how that would work when it was originally done, the researchers love it now. It seems that Paula's e-mail was placed in the posted box for some odd reason and that is why Paula is getting the mail she is. I don't know how that happened though if she never posted to the mailing list. Unless by some chance, it is an obit or something else that she sent to MAK to share with Wood County and MAK placed it on the website and gave credit to Paula as the source. Does that make any sense? 3. To confuse you both more, there IS a notation at the head of the Wood County message boards that states that the board posts are gatewayed to the Wood County mailing list. Double check the headers and see if this isn't the problem.... 3. MAK- I know all what you emailed - I guess I wasn't clear in my email - what IS STRANGE is - I DID NOT post a message on the Wood board YOU DID! So why am I getting this message in reply etc. I will forward the last two I get and maybe you will see what I mean. 1. Paula - Message Boards
    2. MAK - Transcriber
    3. Paula - It says a Reply has been posted to your message. That means you posted messages to the WoodCoWI Message Board and it is letting you know that there were replies to it. In the future, to avoid this, the default, at the bottom of the page is a checked box which states "Send me an e-mail when anyone replies to this message." You must make sure there is NOT a check in the box or you will receive a copy of all replies to that post. Hope that answers the question. 3. Hello MAK and All- I very strange thing has been happening the last few days. I have been receiving message that should be going to MAK apparently from the Wood County message board. Below is one of two I received today. Can anyone tell me how this might have happened? How I can get it fixed? Etc. I do not belong to Wood County maillist or anyting - so this is a real puzzle of why all of a sudden this has started. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
