1. [WIGEN-L] Pierce County WIGenWeb Project Update
2. Hi all: Thanks to some wonderful volunteers, several new townships have been transcribed and uploaded for the 1880 Pierce County, WI Federal Census! You can find them online at Pierce County, WI USGenWeb. More will be coming soon. I have also completed a history of the county and its towns and villages as well as a list of all it's county officers from inception in 1853 to the 1930s. And another volunteer recently resurveyed one of the online cemeteries and it has been updated with her new information, including some stones that were missed in the first transcription. Oh, and Tina, I figured out how to use MSWorks to convert to text myself, so you are now officially off the hook! Glad to hear that, huh? So you can forget El Paso Village if you find the file! 1. [WIGEN-L] New Logo
2. MAK
3. Just wanted to say that what MAK wanted was a decision whether or NOT a logo was required and if so WHAT one.... MAK never said anything about us all looking alike, someone else "interpreted" my motion to say that... Some of this confusion could be avoided by coming to the IRC Chatroom on Wednesday where you can "talk" and get to know others, and learn good stuff, too... I have been absent the last two, but not by choice. My job has really kept me burning the midnight oil... BTW, I did vote for this one, and actually LOVE it in the color scheme on the WI page (thanks to all since I really hate certain colors), and it is up already on my two counties, Wood and Portage... All it took was to click save as (used name of my old logo), and FTP to the graphics directory. alla, DONE... So, Tina, cross me off your list of people who have not made the change, and add me to the list of people who did!!! (grin) You should keep the cowbut one and link it to (hee hee hee).... yup, that is a P4 conversation!!! 3. I really like the logo presented as well, and am putting right on the county page. But if it had been a brown and white cow butt, well then it would have been a much harder choice. Removing all personality from the site so that we are all alike. >> No, Jan, that is not the objective. You need not change anything on your site. I am trying to work with people to make the logo the color and size that would best suit what they have on their pages already. If you would like to send me a pixel size you would prefer (i.e., 125x125, 150x150, etc.) and what color you would prefer (sending the actual color code works best) I would be happy to customize the logo to your site. 3. Sorry Nance - didn't mean for you to come unglued over that comment - but as I recall it - when this all started ---- MAK wanted us to all look alike. And I did vote for a logo on the pages - just seems right - however I did not see the one in question.
