    2. Yes, Mary Beth Fay is doing the 1910 census's for Marathon County for me. She is the owner of the page, and I link to it. I have e-mailed Mary Beth to see if she knows anything about FamilyDiscovery.com. I would suspect that she does not. I will let the list know of her reply. Shelley

    3. They have added this Disclaimer to one of the pages of their site: Disclaimer: • FamilyDiscovery.com pages contains EXTERNAL links which are not owned or maintained by Family Discovery. This is merely a search engine that takes you directly to the information skipping all the time consuming steps • This page does not necessarily contain a COMPLETE list of all online information, but merely for which records have been currently located online to compile this genealogical search engine. • We are still currently searching for records online to add to our linking database. -------------------- We sure need to get the word out so that NO ONE pays for what we already provide for free. And we all also need to "mark" our pages so everyone knows they've been ripped off. Linda

    3. This is a follow-on to Tim Stowell's email regarding the website http://www.FamilyDiscovery.com that is stealing information from Alabama. The guy is also stealing from our very own Marathon and Brown Counties! Go in the back door http://128.121.230.66/Records/states/wisconsin.htm And drop to the bottom of the page. Under Marathon Counties are three townships, Berlin, Hamburg, and Kronenwetter. FamilyDiscovery.com has the same links to the 1910 census that Shelly Green, CC for Marathon County, has. From her page, http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimarath/1910census.htm, it sounds like Shelly has a working relationship with "Mary Beth Fay who lives in Arizona" and supplies the census information. The question is, "Does Mary Beth Fay allow FamilyDiscovery.com to post her work and permit FamilyDiscovery.com to charge for it?" Shelly, could you please check this out and get back to the WIGEN maillist? Thanks Bob Herald CC Clark County, Wisconsin

This book is a history of the area known as the four corners, which includes Barron, Rusk, Sawyer and Washburn counties. The index has been separated into names from each of these counties and has been uploaded to that respective county's archives. Linda is offering to do lookups in this book for anyone who finds a name that is of interest to them. These indexes are identified as "4corners.txt" in the "Biographies" section on the following pages: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wi/barron.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wi/rusk.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wi/sawyer.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wi/washburn/wash.htm -- Nance mailto:nsampson@spacestar.net
