I received this just now and it explains why the last page did not open when I tried it. Am still interested in what list members think: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi again, I made a mistake on the link for GenWed I sent earlier. I forgot to put the .com in there. (DUH) And I thought all morning it was Saturday. Heres the right link-I tested it. http://www.genwed.com/WI/wigen.htm I put it in Cyndis list last evening, so its getting lots of traffic. You may need to try it again if you cant get thru the first time. Im taking the rest of the day off, lol. Thanks again,J. Schaible [email protected] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Original message with wrong link: Hello, I have just added the link(s) to your marriage records to GenWed.com, a directory of free marriage record links on the internet. Let me know if you would like me to add the link to your home page. If you would like to include other pages that contain marriages, such as church records, (or new pages as they are made) just send the link and I would be happy to include them. It might send your site some more traffic. As GenWed grows I hope it will become a great research tool. Please consider adding GenWeds Wisconsin link to your page. http://www.genwed/WI/wigen.htm Wisconsin Marriage Records at Genwed.com - Links to Free Marriage Records & Genealogy Databases Online. I need a little help from some Milwaukee pro's!!! My gt-aunt used to do seamstress/sewing work for a company in Milwaukee, and I can't remember the name. One of the companys she worked for was Briggs & Stratton, but the other company had a hyphenated name, I think, and one name was -Mayer or Meier or a name starting with M. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Also, another aunt used to work for the owner of a meat processing company in Milwaukee. I think the name was Hoy's or something like that. Can anyone recognize these names, and help a poor old genealogical mind, that is so crammed with information it can't seem to retain anything any more!!! Thanks bunches, Tracy Reinhardt Fond du Lac and Winnebago Genweb
If you can send her given name and surname, I can check the on-line Milwaukee directory 1889-1900 - if she was around then...
