To answer your questions Ashford is both the name of a township, and the name of a small village that is located in the township. St. Martin's Catholic Church is located in the village, but served the surrounding township also. There are no cemetery inscriptions online at this time, but if you would send more information I would be happy to look up your family next time I am at the library. tracy reinhardt ---- rloss@bellsouth.net wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: ALTENBERBER MEIER SCHULTE > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jEC.2ACE/2073 > > Message Board Post: > > Need some guidance please. > > I received word that a possible relative, Henry MEIER is interred in St. Marten Cemetery, Ashford, Wisconsin. > > Guidance #1: Is Ashford a town of village in Fond du Lac Co.? > Guidance #2: What is the religious affiliation of St. Martin.? > Guidance #3: Is there a searchable listing of those interred in St. Martin?
