    3. "Hi" I belong to this mailing list. Also, I have a subscription to Godfrey. Godfrey is a research library in CT with several datatbases. One database is Newspaper Archive and selected papers go back to the early 1900's. Every state is included; but NOT every town nor every edition. Thankfully, Wisconsin is well represented and I have found several Crain & Synnott kin in these files. Also included are some papers from Ireland - Canada - UK etc. When I typed the surname Mullen into the search box for Wisconsin - Fond du Lac, there were 368 hits. Several were stories about a ballplayer on a local team......so this would account for a lot of entries. There are some going back to 1960's and 1910's. You will have to decide if the $35 a year membership is worth the cost. Go to www.godfrey.org to see their holdings. You can register on-line with a credit card or write a letter with a personal check. BTW my family also settled parts of FDL - Winifred Crain married William McCormick in 1859 and they had 7 kids - farmers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maura McCormick" <mcmo@juno.com> To: <WIFONDDU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 13, 2006 6:37 PM Subject: [wifonddu] MULLENS > Greetings from OH. 3. Hey Mollie...Godfrey sounds really neat-O. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to the site now and check it out. And, I know me: I will pay for a subscription as it seems VERY reasonable.
