    1. Re: [wifonddu] MULLENS
    2. Hi, I have a few tidbits of information for you, regarding Fond du Lac Co. Unfortunately, there is no way to obtain a copy of a birth marriage or death certificate for a reasonable fee. The only way the county will issue you a record, is if you purchase a full certified copy (I believe the price is $15-17 price range) A person can look at the records and copy out the information, but no photocopies allowed. On a better note, I have a few Mullens pieces of information in one of my collateral lines. It starts with Charles Mullens, born in Fond du Lac, but who moved to Wisconsin Rapids, in Wood Co WI His wife is part of a family line that I am following. I will look through my old records here at home, to see whether there is additional information. I know that when my parents purchased their first farm in the 1930's, it was financed by Bill Mullens (don't know who he is, or how my parents knew him) but he had money to loan out, and had a large beautiful home in fond du lac. 3. Thank you, Tracy, for ALL the info on DCs and Mullens. I have had a few suggestions of where to obtain the cheapest DCs and am grateful to everyone who took the time and trouble to write. I'm used to OH's DCs, where some cost a nickel each, some are free, and some cost 7 bucks and the priciest of 20 bucks each...it just depends on where you request the DC from. If anybody needs this info, just write me. Related to the Mullen family: I traced Charles back to his family and thus far don't see them in my Tree. But...they could well be as I only discovered some Mullens in Wi a few days ago. So, of course I will keep your note in reach. The Mullens thus far that I am pursuing in WI are: Michael and wife Mary, and Joseph and wife Mary. My gggGrandfather, James and Mary Gorman Mullen stayed in Cleveland. But, I think these guys may all be brothers. Thanks Tracy and everybody who is helping me. Maura
