Found this deed as transcribed below, and am exploring to see if there is a connection between the two families. William Lang and his wife Amelia, were apparently living in Fond du Lac in 1852. ********************************************************** May 1, 1852, From William Lang and Amelia his wife to Julia A. Servis for $700 the following land: 20 feet south 55 degrees west from the Southwest corner of outlot #5 of Sheboygan Falls, then south 55 degrees west for 78 feet, then south 35 degrees east along said land, which results in a strip of land 78 feet wide from Wakefield Road [now Pine Street] to the river, bounded on the Southwest by a street recently laid out. Signed in Fon du Lack [sic] County, Wisconsin by William Lang and Amelia Lang. (Citing from Vol 11, page 590 of the deeds books in Sheboygan County Courthouse, Sheboygan, WI) ********************************************************** Service was Julia Ann's maiden name, and she married William Servis sometime between the census of 1850, and the date of this deed on May 1, 1852. Thanks for any help you can provide.
