Wruck in the 1900 City of Oshkosh census which matches up with my Emma. Her birthdate is listed as Jan. 1880, which is in line with all the other Wruck children. We had wondered why she wasn't in the 1900 census with the rest of the family and thought that she might be the Emma who was scalded. I don't think so. This Emma was a servant, b. Jan. 1880, single, 20 years old, born in WI. Lived at 31 S. Main St., Oshkosh, ED 134, Ward 3. It all fits. That would leave Emily to be the only logical one who was scalded. What do you think? Deb W.
