Joseph was born around 1812 in Canada, and his wife's name was Emily (maiden name unknown). They raised their family in Vermont from 1839-1850, and by 1850 were in Wisconsin. The 1860 Fond du Lac County Census shows them as having daughters Alvine, Clarissa, Caroline, Ovrie, Doriseh, and Fidella. Another daughter was Mary Eugenie, who married Moses TREMBLEY in 1859. A Joseph LUCIA married in Fond du Lac County in 1872--perhaps a second marriage or a son's marriage? An Edward LUCIA appears in the county around 1850-1855--perhaps a relative of Joseph?
