I found it using the search thread for Gilbert. I believe there is a close connection with the Anthony Gilbert family who also settled in Fond du Lac. Anthony was also a machinist in the city of Fond du Lac. He came to the USA in 1847 but appears to be already married to Jane Elizabeth Frederick before settling in Fond du Lac. We have photos of Joseph Gauslin and a girl A. Gauslin who were friend of the Gilbert children.
