Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jEC.2ACE/1285.1 Message Board Post: I, I really do not have anything to give you about your ancestor- However, I grew up in Ripon and my cousin and I used to play in a place near Ripon College (somewhere near where the white school house originally stood, I believe) - it was called Bowen's Woods - it is located at the place where Lincoln Street comes to Thorne Street - a dormitory for the College was built in part of it. I have often wondered when I was young why it was called Bones Woods - but now I think perhaps it was not Bones Woods, but Bowens Woods - after your ancestor - Just an interesting little thought that came to me after reading your message.
