She was born in the Town of Metomen on Nov. 12, 1884, a daughter of Julius and Wilhelmina Saeck Riese. She received her public school education in the area. On Oct. 25, 1905, she was married to Frank Charles Konow and spent her early life on the Konow homestead in the Town of Springvale. She was active in the Town Line Church and Sunday school work. Mr. Konow died in 1936. She was married to Frank Delbert Thornburg on March 11, 1944, and came to Fond du Lac at that time. She was active in Methodist churches in Ripon and Fond du Lac and the women's organizations of the church. Survivors include her widower; a son, Glenn Konow of Odessa, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Reginald Huebl of Route 3, Ripon; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Division Street United Methodist Church, where Mrs. T! hornburg was a member. The Rev. James Saunders will officiate and burial will be in Woodllawn Cemetery at Ripon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Zacherl Funeral Home.
