Born March 19, 1890 in Pierce county, daughter of Peter and Sophia Yohann, she moved to North Fond du Lac when 10 years old and had since resided in this community. She was married April 1, 1912 to Frank Thornburg, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. P.G. Van Zandt, then pastor of the First Baptist church. The Thornburgs moved to a farm in Rosendale seven years ago. Mrs. Thornburg was a member of the First Baptist church in this city and of the Rosendale Grange unit. Surviving are her widower; a daughter, Mrs. Milton A. Booth of this city; her father, who resides in North Fond du Lac and three brothers, Edward, Frank and Louis Yohann of this city. The body is at Zacherl funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. from the Baptist church, the Rev. F.M. Morse, past! or, officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks cemetery. Many Present At Final Rite. Funeral Services Are Held For Mrs. Marie Thornburg in Baptist Church Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter Monday April 1, 1940, p. 16, c. 1 Marie Thornburg (nee: Yohann) Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Thornburg, who died Thursday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Zacherl funeral home and at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist church, the Rev. F.M. Morse, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Estabrooks cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Schmoldt, Loy Smith, John Giffey, Lester Madigan, Neil Giffey and Harry Barker. The services were largely attended. Persons attending included Ernest Heileman, Mrs. George Roundy of Chicago; Edward Reuter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reuter and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. B.
