Powers Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter Monday January 22, 1968, p. 14, c. 6 Orrie R. Powers, 87, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Rolling Meadows. He was born Jan. 16, 1881, in the Town of Fond du Lac, the son of Orlin and Ellen Taylor Powers. Mr. Powers farmed until 1917 and then was employed in general construction work. Survivors include five sons, James of Mayville, Roy of Brookfield, Robert, city, and Lester and Douglas, serving with the United States Air Force; three daughters, Mrs. William Sturtz, city, Mrs. William Ross, Dundee, Ill., and Miss Pearl Powers, Watertown; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Candlish Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, Rev. Al Burton Eliason officiating. Burial will be in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield. Orrie R. Powers Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter Wednesday January 24, 1968, p. 36, c. 4 Funeral services for Orrie R. Powers, who died Sunday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Candlish Chapel, Rev. Al Burton Eliason officiating. Mrs. Eliason was a the organ for the service. Burial was in Avoca Cemetery.
