Thornburg, 71, of 182 West Division street, collapsed Saturday at 8:45 p.m. at his home and was pronounced dead upon entrance to St. Agnes hospital. Mr. Thornburg, who was born in Los Angeles had spent most of his life in this community. He was a retired employe of the Northern Casket company. Surviving are a son, Verne, city; two daughters, Mrs. C.J. Chouinard, Aurora, Ill., and Mrs. H.W. Bingen, city; a brother, Frank Thornburg, city; and sister, Mrs. Maude Beyer, Chicago. Mrs. Thornburg died in 1944. Mr. Thornburg was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Patrick's church. The body of Mr. Thornburg is in state at the Geo. M. Dugan Funeral home. Services will be held there Tuesday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church. Burial will be in Rienzi cemetery. Clarence Thornburg Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter Tuesday February 7, 1956, p. 20, c. 1 Funeral services for Clarence Thornburg, who died Saturday, were held today at 9 a.m. at the Geo. M. Dugan Funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church with burial in Rienzi cemetery. The Rev. George C. Eilers officiated. Pallbearers were George Roffman, sr., Robert Gleh, Henry Bingen, August Leonhardt, Otto Stiedeman and Harry Cooke. Those from away attending the rites were from Aurora, Ill.
