Author: JaneceCarterStreig Surnames: GROUT, GLENDENNING Classification: deed Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.fonddulac/4091/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Land Records Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Book B Page 625-626 Deed from Samuel GROUT to Andrew GLENDENNING This indenture made the twenty sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six between Samuel GROUT of the town of Waupun county of Fond du Lac and teretory of Wisconsin party of the first part and Andrew GLENDENNING of the same place party of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money to him in hand paid by said party of the second the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged has given granted bargained sold remised released aliened & confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the 2nd part to his heirs and assigns forever all that tract of land lying in the town of Waupun and teretory aforesaid known as the north half of the north west quarter of the north east quarter of section thirty (3) of town fourteen north of range fifteen (15) east containing twenty acres more or ! less. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate right title interest claim or demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity either in possession or expectancy of in and to the above bargained premises and their hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said premises as above described with the hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for his heirs executors and administrators does covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the ensealing and delivering of these presents he is well seized of the premises above described as a good sure perfect absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the law in fee simple and that the same are free and clear from all i! ncumbrances whatever And that the above bargained premises in the quie t and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part of his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming the whole or any part thereof he will forever warrant and defend. In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Sealed and delivered in presence of Theodore CONKEY D. SPERSON Samuel GROUT [Seal] Teretory of Wisconsin County of Fond du Lac Be it remembered that on the twenty sixth day of August AD 1846 personally came before me the above Samuel GROUT to me known to be the person who executed the said deed and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
